Cinema and conversation go hand in hand. Great film inspires great discussion; even the act of watching a film can feel like a debate between viewer and filmmaker. The medium is so rich that different audiences can have utterly different responses to the same film. A readily available forum for sharing those experiences can provide insight and inspiration for those still digesting a screening or seeking new passages through complex work. 
 
There are many websites out there dedicated to film chats but few to harnessing that spark of conversation that immediately precedes or follows a screening. We have created this site to foster discussion before and after the screening moment at TIFF Cinematheque. Feel free to comment whenever you wish, but we are particularly interested in sharing our members' wisdom about upcoming films, and sharing their (and our!) reactions to the films afterwards: a virtual café society for lovers of film.
